BAR CUPBOARD

Due to a change in ownership the cupboard in the entrance of the bar had to be replaced.

The new owners wanted the new cupboard to be the same size as the old one. I told them that the best thing to do was to make it out of reclaimed wood as the size was ideal to use full boards.

First a basic frame was constructed using wood from extra large shipping pallets and this was then covered in boarding from standard Euro Pallets.

Once the basic frame was constructed boards were added to the back.

Then 2 doors were added again made from sanded pallet boards. The four feet were made using pallet blocks.

The door handles came from pieces of furniture found thrown out in the street.

The cupboard was then given two coats of walnut stain and three coats of varnish.

Everything apart from the hinges and screws used to build the cupboard came from reclaimed sources.

As a final touch a piece of bed head found outside the bar was added to give it that classic furniture touch.
